This smokey, woody soap was originally made as a limited edition for an exhibition. The Mushroom Bar quickly became one of our bestsellers and is now part of TANAKA’s core collection.
The famous chaga mushroom grows on birch trees throughout the northern hemisphere. Chaga helps these trees stay healthy and vibrant—it produces comparable benefits for our skin too. One of the most potent sources of melanin, it contains a number of important minerals, such as potassium and calcium.
The nutrient-dense chaga has an innate ability to restore elasticity to the skin. It incites the restoration and regeneration of skin cells, making skin appear refreshed and younger. Its unique form of betulinic acid heals, moisturises and tones dry, irritated and inflamed skin, leaving it soft, supple and smooth.
Your skin is your body’s largest organ. When we bathe, we exfoliate to remove toxins that your body excretes throughout the day. The Mushroom Bar is the perfect aid for this ritual.

TIPS FOR USE
Lather the soap in your hands and apply generously to the face and body. The soap is gentle enough to be used every day.
Our cold-processed method of production preserves the goodness of our natural ingredients. To ensure your bar lasts longer, keep it dry between uses by placing it in a dish that allows air to circulate and water to drain away.
PROCESS
Made, cured and packaged with intention and care. Each bar is hand cut and entirely unique.
Most of our bars share the same base of olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, mango butter and castor oil. We use highly pigmented natural ingredients to add colour to our bars. Our soap is made in small batches and is left to cure for 4 weeks.
